The four Oslon square batwing LEDs are primary optics for lighting greenhouses, which can be more homogeneous and avoid luminaire hotspots. The radiation pattern reduces the fixtures within greenhouses for greater system efficiency.

The judges deemed this to be “a clear, innovative step in lighting with real-world implications”, adding that it demonstrates “fit for purpose” innovation in agricultural settings.
