Course on RF and Microwave design in September

York EMC Services is running a course in RF and microwave circuit design from 29 September to 3 October.

The five-day advanced course describes the theory, device models and design techniques required to develop most of the major building blocks in modern RF and microwave transmitters and receivers. Theoretical and circuit aspects will be covered, as well as the practical considerations of real components and circuit layout.

Practical design and measurement techniques are included in laboratory classes, where attendees will design, build and measure a 100MHz low noise amplifier, a 100MHz low phase noise oscillator and a 1GHz microstrip line filter.

The course is aimed at graduate engineers who are new to the field of RF and microwave engineering, or engineers who wish to broaden their design skills. Attendees should have a basic knowledge of analogue circuit design.
